Dr. Meghan Johnson is a Physical Therapist and the founder of MJ Performance and Physical Therapy. She specializes in treating the most active individuals whom aim to maximize potential both within and outside of their sport of choice. She has taken particular interest in the CrossFit Athlete, restoring the athlete’s ability to participate and excel in such a multifaceted sport. Meghan uses a total body approach through movement based methodology to correct the cause of the problem, not only the source of pain. Meghan takes particular interest in PRI (Postural Restoration Institute) methodology to restore stability at the core to allow for optimal mobility.
Meghan graduated from Northeastern University in 2014 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She has had experience working with MBL and NFL athletes while on a clinical rotation at EXOS in Frisco, TX. Meghan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Meghan is Graston Technique Certified, Dry Needling Trained, ACE Massage Cupping Certified, and CrossFit Level 1 Certified. Meghan is passionate about using her knowledge and background to help people safely return to their passion and maintain optimal health and performance long term. As an individual whom participates in CrossFit after four knee surgeries, she can first hand relate to the injury-prone population and assist with proper modifications to limit injury risk.
